  3.      Scroll Back Operation
  4.  
  5.           XPCOM offers 16K of scroll back buffer per TNC receive window.
  6.           Additionally, any or all of the buffer may be saved to disk, a
  7.           later version will allow printing directly. For now use the
  8.           file print command.
  9.  
  10.           To enter the scroll buffer, press either the 'UP' or 'DOWN'
  11.           arrow keys. This will put the system into the scroll mode. The
  12.           communication ports are disabled during these operations.
  13.  
  14.           The following keys are available for movement within the
  15.           buffer.
  16.  
  17.                 HOME       - This will move to the top of the buffer.
  18.                 END        - This will move to the end of the buffer.
  19.                 PGUP       - This will move up one screen or to top.
  20.                 PGDN       - This will move down one screen or to the end.
  21.                 UP arrow   - Move up one line.
  22.                 DN arrow   - Move down one line.
  23.                 F1         - This key marks the TOP of the section to be
  24.                              saved.
  25.                 F2         - This key marks the END of a section to be
  26.                              saved.
  27.                 F3         - This will SAVE the marked section to
  28.                              disk.  See "Using the File Selector".
  29.                 F4         - This copies the Marked text to the Paste
  30.                              buffer.  This text may be transmitted at
  31.                              any time during a QSO by simply pressing
  32.                              the Insert key.  Any text in the buffer
  33.                              will be transmitted to the TNC.

  35.           Press 'ESC' to return back to the current operating mode.

  59.           When operating packet on the PK-232 TNC it is possible to
  60.           define a separate scroll back buffer for each open stream. The
  61.           size of the scroll back buffer may be defined as follows.

  63.      Scroll Back Setup
  64.  
  65.           a. Press mouse button or F10 key to enter main menu.
  66.  
  67.           b. Move to Setup menu.
  68.  
  69.           c. Select Stream Setup.
  70.  
  71.           d. Move to desired stream and enter a value between 1 and 32.
  72.              This corresponds to a range of 1024 bytes to 32768 bytes.

  74.           e. When finished press the 'ESC' key or click the mouse off of
  75.              the setup window. This completes scroll back setup.

  77.      Scroll Back Activation
  78.  
  79.           The scroll back for an individual packet channel is activated
  80.           by using the following commands.

  82.           a. Select desired stream by clicking the mouse in the stream
  83.              window or using the PGUP/PGDN keys to move to the stream. This
  84.              can be monitored by watching the "ACTIVE" indicator located on
  85.              the upper row of the stream windows.

  87.           b. After selecting the desired stream. Press the UP Arrow
  88.              key.

  90.           c. All other commands are the same as those outlined in the
  91.              Scrolling Buffer section of this manual.
